1. Who We Are

Honera connects families with independent funeral homes and cremation providers ("Providers"). We operate the honera.co website, the Provider pages hosted on honera.co subdomains, the phone numbers shown on those pages, and the text messages and emails sent through Honera on a Provider's behalf. This policy covers the information we collect through those channels.

2. Honera, the Provider, and You

When you contact a Provider through Honera, your information is passed to that Provider so they can respond to you. The Provider performs the services and sets the prices. Honera operates the pages, phone lines, and messaging. We do not share your information with other Providers, and we do not sell it.

Once the Provider has your information, the Provider may also contact you directly, using its own phone numbers, email, or systems, outside of Honera. Those direct communications, and how the Provider stores and uses your information, are governed by the Provider's own practices and privacy policy, not by this one. Honera is not responsible for them.

3. Information We Collect

Information you submit through our forms, calls, texts, and emails, such as your name, phone number, email address, and the type of service you are asking about. Calls to Honera numbers may be recorded and transcribed; by continuing a call after the recording notice, you consent to this. We also collect standard website data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, through cookies, pixels, call tracking numbers, and tools like Google Analytics and Google Ads. You can limit cookies in your browser settings.

4. How We Use Your Information

- To connect you with the Provider you contacted.

- To communicate with you on the Provider's behalf about your inquiry.

- To review calls and messages for quality and follow-up.

- To measure and improve our pages and advertising, including remarketing audiences through Google Ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings.

- To prevent misuse and comply with the law.

5. SMS Communications

Text messages are sent by Honera on behalf of the Provider you contacted. You opt in by checking the SMS consent box on a Provider's Honera page, or by calling a Honera number, in which case you may receive one message confirming your call. Messages relate to your inquiry and, if you checked the consent box, may include information about arrangements and planning ahead. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to cancel. Reply HELP for help or email [email protected].

STOP applies to messages sent through Honera. To stop messages or calls a Provider sends from its own numbers, contact that Provider directly.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in information are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

By submitting a form or calling a Honera number, you also agree that Honera and the Provider may call and email you about your inquiry, including from Honera numbers. Use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop emails.

6. Sharing

We share your information with the Provider you contacted and with service providers that help us operate Honera (telephone and messaging carriers, hosting and CRM platforms, transcription, analytics, and advertising services), who may use it only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information when required by law or as part of a business transfer.

7. Data Retention and Security

We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by law. We use reasonable safeguards to protect it, including encryption of sensitive fields.

Honera and Providers are not HIPAA-covered entities, so HIPAA does not apply to the information you provide.

8. Your Choices

Reply STOP to end text messages and use the unsubscribe link to end emails. To access, correct, or delete your information, email [email protected]. Residents of Canada may withdraw consent at any time.

9. Children

Honera is not intended for individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the most recent revision appears at the top of this page.
